How to Find Email Recently Marked as Read

Hullo Rgconover,

I'm sorry y'all accidentally did this in your mailfile. There is no mode to reverse this. A few thoughts:

i. Do you accept another computer with an offline copy of your post? If yous do, disconnect the internet, launch Outlook or whatever mail client you utilize and run across your read/unread there

This would be a peachy feature to take, and I've experienced this pain myself. Sorry at that place is no magic button.

Thank you,
-Jeff

If you select the messages you want to change (or select all of them) --> right-click on the selected messages - do you lot not get the choice to "Mark as Unread" (if you lot select a mixture of messages that are read/unread - you should see both options in the carte after right-clicking on the selected messages)

Thank you for your prompt response, Jeff. I'm very disappointed to hear that I cannot disengage the "Marking all as unread" pick from my e-mail. I wish I'd seen a confirmation, asking me whether I wanted to do so, but one accidental mouse click has now created chaos in my inbox, since I take no immediate manner of knowing which messages I take and haven't read.

I do non take an offline version of my mail, so no luck with that route. The upside, if whatsoever, is that I now have zero unread letters, according to the number to the left of my inbox, for the first time in retention. I judge I'll take to do the best I tin can, and try to determine which due east-mails I have and have not read.

Again, I appreciate your help.

Thanks, Karl. Because I'1000 really backside on e-mails, I still take hundreds to read. Therefore, although I'thou aware of right-clicking and marking as unread, this pick isn't really feasible for my entire inbox. Though, I could attempt to label them in stages, or just read them instead. Wish me luck.

Just to exist clear - I suggested 2 options

#1 - Selecting the entire Inbox and
#2 - Selecting specific messages by holding down the CTRL key when selecting the messages

If you were asking if there is a mode to only automatically opposite what was done, then unfortunately the answer is: No

At this point, Karl, I'm kind of post-obit your communication, though information technology might be reversed. I'g going through my inbox fleck by bit and selecting a few e-mails at a time, so right-clicking to Marking as Unread. This process isn't ideal, simply I've already fabricated some decent progress. Hopefully I'grand on the route to properly viewing read/unread e-mails, though it'll take a while. Cheers once more, and I'll keep yous posted.

Made me chuckle there seeing a '0' on your notifications on the inbox. Definitely looking at things from the best light and unfortunately its all nosotros tin practice correct now. Similar I said I've been bit by this 'bug' in the past in different mail systems. I took this opportunity to enter in the feedback hub, great ideas and hopefully saves someone in the future.

Have a not bad night and good luck!

Thank you, Jeff. Since I unfortunately can't undo the "Marking all as read" selection--which I'd love to see as an selection in the future ... along with moving the button to somewhere less prominent--I guess all I can exercise is soldier on with manually mark every bit unread ... and relish the lowest number of unread east-mails I've had in years. At to the lowest degree all my messages announced to all the same be hither. Engineering science can be a carry, but we soldier on ...
